Hunter Strickland and the Washington Nationals were given a scare on Tuesday when the reliever suffered a fluke injury in the weight room.
Strickland dropped a bar on his face and had to be bandaged up and sent for tests.
He joined the Nationals shortly after and played catch on the field Tuesday afternoon.
Strickland has a 3.48 ERA and 8 strikeouts in 10.1 innings this season.
