The St. Louis Cardinals announced on Monday that Jordan Hicks has a torn UCL in his right elbow.

The club is determining the next step, but the injury typically leads to Tommy John surgery.

Hicks left in the ninth inning on Saturday after feeling a pull in his right triceps during his last few throws.

The 22-year-old is 2-2 with a 3.14 ERA and 14 saves this year for the Cardinals.
