Dallas Keuchel and Craig Kimbrel are expected to sign with a Major League club soon as they are no longer tied to draft pick compensation.

The Major League first-year player draft is this week.

The Houston Astros and Boston Red Sox, respectively, extended one-year, $17.9 million qualifying offers to Keuchel and Kimbrel. Both pitchers rejected the deals, meaning any team that signed them prior to June 3 would have been subject to a penalty that affects its draft picks.
