A number of players have signed contract extensions this offseason, including prominent pitchers Chris Sale and Justin Verlander, but reigning National League Cy Young winner Jacob deGrom isn't among them.

On Saturday, deGrom acknowledged that the odds of him agreeing to terms ahead of Opening Day were slim.

Noah Syndergaard is among those disappointed.

"I think they should pay the man already," Syndergaard said of deGrom. "I don't get it."

Syndergaard also voiced his displeasure with the Mets' spring-ending travel plans, which will see them take an hours-long bus ride to Sarasota before jetting to Syracuse for a workout at the Carrier Dome.
