The Boston Red Sox won the World Series and the dream season continues for Mookie Betts, who was named the American League MVP on Thursday.

Betts also won the batting title, recorded a 30/30 season, earned a Gold Glove and led all of baseball in slugging percentage.

"Yeah, it's been a pretty good 2018," he said. "I enjoy these moments while I can because 2019, hopefully we can make it better."

The voting was near unanimous for Betts as he took 28 of the 30 first-place votes and was second on the remaining two ballots. Mike Trout finished second, while Jose Ramirez was third.
