The Boston Red Sox will lose the designated hitter when the World Series shifts to Dodger Stadium for Games 3, 4 and 5.

J.D. Martinez is the club's usual DH and Alex Cora has said Martinez and Mookie Betts will be in the lineup all series. That means left fielder Andrew Benintendi or center fielder Jackie Bradley, Jr. will have to sit.

Earlier in the week, Cora suggested that Betts could play second base, which he did in the Minor Leagues, but on Tuesday the manager shot the plan down.

"Very slim," Cora said. "But he's prepared. He's the best defensive right fielder in the big leagues. He's not going to be the best defensive second baseman in the big leagues. We start moving a lot of parts – obviously offensively we can keep everybody together."
