The Los Angeles Dodgers have announced that Hyun-Jin Ryu will start Game 1 of the NLDS against the Atlanta Braves on Thursday.

They'll follow up with Clayton Kershaw.

It marks the first time Kershaw won't start the team's postseason opener in nine years. Kershaw has allowed eight runs on 14 hits over his past 11 innings, while Ryu has given up only one run on 12 hits in his past 19 innings.

The order will also allow both pitchers to remain on five days' rest.
