After attributing a terrible week on the mound to medication prescribed to him for his heart condition, Kenley Jansen has stopped taking it.

Jansen spent 11 days on the disabled list with an irregular heartbeat and returned to go 0-2 with a blown save while allowing seven hits, five runs and four home runs in three one-inning appearances last week.

The Los Angeles Dodgers reliever said that he felt like he was "sleepwalking" on the field due to the medication.

"I thought the first day maybe it would get better," Jansen said. "Then the second day, it was the same. And the third day ... "

Jansen, who underwent heart surgery in 2012, expects to have a second surgery in the offseason.
