Ben Zobrist was ejected for the first time in his Major League career during Tuesday's game between the Chicago Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers.

Plate umpire Phil Cuzzi ejected Zobrist after he said players would prefer robot umpires.

"I basically said, 'That's why we want an electronic strike zone,'" Zobrist explained. "That's what obviously got me tossed. I'm not going to lie. I think he was going toss me anyway, before I said that, just because I wouldn't go away."

Zobrist was upset after being called out on a pitch that looked wide of the zone in the sixth inning. He and Cuzzi talked calmly near home plate between the eighth and ninth innings before Zobrist was kicked out.
