The Houston Astros defeated the New York Yankees 4-0 in Game 7 of the ALCS to advance to the World Series.

Charlie Morton pitched five scoreless innings, giving up just two hits, while Lance McCullers Jr. threw four innings in relief and allowed just one hit. Morton and McCullers combined to strikeout 11 Yankees.

The Astros receive solo homers in the fourth by Evan Gattis and in the fifth by Jose Altuve. Houston received a pair of insurance runs when Brian McCann had a two RBI double.

Justin Verlander was named ALCS MVP over Altuve.
