The New York Yankees will move Chase Headley to first base so that Todd Frazier can man third base.

Headley, 33, has only played 14 games at first in his Major League career.

"He's going to have a crash course on it," Joe Girardi said.

The Yankees acquired Frazier from the Chicago White Sox earlier this week. He was open to any position with New York, but admitted he had a preference.

"Third base is definitely my first choice," he said.
