Trevor Rosenthal has been scratched from his Monday spring training start because of tightness in the latissimus muscle near his right arm.

The St. Louis Cardinals don't believe the injury will be a long-term concern, but he could be set for more tests if the soreness doesn't dissipate.

The Cardinals have been stretching Rosenthal out as a starting pitcher with the idea of using him as a multi-inning reliever if he doesn't win the fifth-starter job.
