The San Francisco Giants placed Tim Lincecum, Hunter Pence and Javier Lopez on waivers Saturday and all three were quickly claimed.

However, "none of them are going anywhere," according to a source.

While the Giants could change their mind, it appears as though the claiming teams did so in order to block rivals from acquiring any of the players.

The Giants could save close to $8 million by trading or letting go the trio of soon-to-be free agents.
