The Los Angeles Dodgers have traded Aaron Harang to the Colorado Rockies for Ramon Hernandez.

Colorado immediately designated the right-handed Harang for assignment, meaning they are likely trying to flip him in another deal.

The Dodgers have a surplus of starting pitchers and Hernandez provides a veteran backup behind catcher A.J. Ellis.

According to reports, the Dodgers are sending Colorado $4.25 million. Harang is earning $7 million with a $2 million buyout for next season. Hernandez is earning $3.2 million.
