Emilio Bonifacio is 10-for-10 in steal attempts to begin the season, five shy of Chuck Carr's 1994 record for successful steal attempts to begin a season. Edgar Renteria began 1996 13-for-13 and Bonifacio in 2010 stole 12 straight. "It's all about the timing," Bonifacio said. "I don't like to get on base and run for the sake of running. If it's not a situation to run there's no need to do it. I've been on base and against pitchers with slow times [to the plate], but it's not the situation to run."
