Francisco Liriano struggled yet again on Sunday, making a demotion to the Minor Leagues or Minnesota's bullpen possible. The left-hander has a 11.02 ERA through three starts. "We're kind of baffled right now," manager Ron Gardenhire said. "It doesn't look like he's pitching with a lot of confidence right now," Gardenhire added. "We've said this over and over again so we are going to step back and figure out what we need to do to try to get his confidence back and try to figure some things out with him." "That would be OK with me," Liriano said of a possible demotion to the bullpen. "Like I said, they gave me an opportunity to start and I haven't done my job yet, so, if they think it's going to make me better, I'll do it."
