Blue Jays general manager J.P. Ricciardi doesn't foresee the team's ownership forcing a fire sale if the team fails to contend this season. "Honestly, I don't think we'll know a lot about what our payroll will be going forward until the end of the year," Ricciardi said when asked if the team could deal Roy Halladay for cheaper players. "But I don't see our ownership doing that [forcing a distress sale]."
