Yahoo.com is reporting that the Pirates claimed infielder Ray Olmedo off waivers from the Blue Jays on Friday. Olmedo spent most of the season in the minors with the Blue Jays before his promotion on August 3. He hit .216 with no homers and one RBI in 27 games.
