Had things broken just a little differently this winter, Todd Helton would have taken the field through the first base dugout last night. But the Red Sox [team stats] and Rockies never worked out a deal that would have shipped the slugging first baseman east, so he instead found himself surrounded by reporters in the third base dugout before last night?s game, addressing what might have been. "It?s kind of hard to talk about something that almost happened," Helton said. "Lots of things in life almost happen that don?t add up to much. I?m really excited to be playing for the Rockies. We?re playing well, and that?s what I?m focusing on."
