Angels GM Reluctant To Deal Young Talent

Last year, the Angels tried to pry Miguel Tejada from the Orioles but the trade did not come to fruition. This season, the Angels are still looking for a bat to protect superstar Vladimir Guerrero.
But GM Bill Stoneman does not seem in a rush to deal from the strength of his team's farm system.
"Everything is magnified early in the year. You don't want to make a rash judgment that comes back to bite you later," Stoneman told The Orange County Register. "You don't want to trade yourself into a weakness."
