Major League Baseball confirmed Thursday it is looking into the possibility that Francisco Rodriguez doctored the baseball during the opening three-game series against the Texas Rangers. The Rangers said they did not try to blow the whistle on Rodriguez, according to the Dallas Morning News. Instead, the MLB offices likely were tipped off by the waves made from an Internet blog written by the author of the book, "The Cheaters Guide to Baseball." The blog entry was given further attention in the popular sports blog deadspin.com. "Cheaters Guide to Baseball" author Derek Zumsteg posted a series of television stills showing Rodriguez grabbing at the bill of his cap and a white substance under his bill.
