Luis Severino has a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and will require Tommy John surgery.

The New York Yankees will be without Severino for all of 2020 after he missed nearly all of last season.

Severino will be operated on by Dr. David Altchek on Thursday at the Hospital For Special Surgery in New York.

In 2018, Severino went 19-8 with a 3.39 ERA and 220 strikeouts in 191 1/3 innings.
