Nate Schierholtz will "most likely" be the next Chicago Cubs player traded before Wednesday's deadline, according to a league source.

Schierholtz has been on a tear lately, hitting .357 with three home runs on Chicago's recently completed road trip.

He has repeatedly professed his happiness with being a Cub, expressing that to management in recent days as well.

“My agent has let them know over the past week or so, so they know where I stand,” Schierholtz said. “I’m happy here, I want to be part of the future here. I want to stay.”
