The Yankees got a huge relief this week when it was revealed in an MRI that Mark Teixeira has no structural damage to his injured wrist. Teixeira had a cortisone shot on Tuesday and hopes to return to the field on Friday against the Mariners. Teixeira initially felt discomfort in the wrist Sunday swinging right-handed against Boston left-hander Felix Doubront. Teixeira aggravated it further diving for a J.J. Hardy grounder in Monday night's 5-4 loss to the Orioles.
