Dodgers Sign Mark Ellis To Two-Year Deal

The Dodgers have finalized their signing of free-agent second baseman Mark Ellis to a two-year, $8.75 million contract.
Ellis has passed a physical exam.
The deal includes a $5.75 million club option for 2014.
Ellis, who will take over as L.A.'s everyday second baseman, will receive base salaries of $2.5 million in 2012 and $5.25 million in 2013.
