The Angels have told teams they would be willing to trade 23-year-old right-hander Ervin Santana to acquire an impact hitter. Carl Crawford is one player that interests them, but the Angels likely would have to add at least one other prospect. They are deep in middle-infield prospects, including Erick Aybar and Brandon Wood. The Angels have included Crawford in a group of "impact" bats they have targeted, a group that also includes Toronto Blue Jays center fielder Vernon Wells. "Would we like an impact bat? You bet," General Manager Bill Stoneman said. "But impact players aren't readily available."
