At least six teams have expressed interest in Twins shortstop J.J. Hardy, according to a source. Talks are expected to remain active during this week's winter meetings in Orlando. The six teams are believed to be the Cardinals, Padres, Pirates, Astros, Orioles and Giants. Hardy, 28, batted .268 last season with six homers and 38 RBI in 101 games. He made $5.1 million in 2010. The Twins are not desperate to move Hardy and expect to receive a fair return for a starting shortstop. "My No. 1 choice would be to stay with the Twins," Hardy said when reached on his cell phone Friday, "but I understand it's a business and they might have things they have to do with payroll."
