Braves third baseman Chipper Jones is progressing on schedule in his recovery from August knee surgery. His goal is to be ready for spring training. "Chipper had his knee checked out last week, and that went very well," Braves general manager Frank Wren said. "Everything was really going along well. So far, there's no reason to believe he can't come back and play for us." Jones is owed $28 million in the final two seasons of his three-year contract.
