The Boston Red Sox will have to celebrate their home opener on Tuesday against the Toronto Blue Jays without newcomer Coco Crisp. Acquired from the Cleveland Indians this offseason to replace the talented and popular Johnny Damon in center field, Crisp will miss at least 10 days with a non-displaced fracture at the base of his left index finger, the club announced on Monday. The 26-year-old suffered the injury sliding awkwardly into third base on a stolen base attempt in the third inning Saturday against the Baltimore Orioles. He sat out Sunday's contest.
