Yankees designated hitter Nick Johnson may not play again until August. New York general manager Brian Cashman says Johnson's sore right wrist may require surgery to remove inflamed tissue. He is already expected to miss a month, but the surgery would add another four-to-six weeks to his timetable. Cashman said Johnson got a cortisone shot in the wrist last weekend in Boston, but the team won't know for a couple of weeks whether the treatment worked. Johnson hitting .167 with two home runs, eight RBIs and an OPS of .693.
