Angels shortstop Erick Aybar left Saturday's game against the Yankees after being hit in the jaw with a deflected throw.
Aybar was covering second base on Derek Jeter's first-inning steal attempt when catcher Mike Napoli's throw bounced and hit off Jeter's helmet into Aybar's face.
He stayed face down in the dirt for a few moments before walking off the field with the help of a trainer.
