Francisco Liriano returned to the mound for the Twins on Sunday against the Indians, throwing six innings of shut-out ball in a 6-2 victory. He allowed three hits, striking out five batters and walking three as well. He threw 96 pitches in his first appearance since three disappointing starts earlier this season. He dazzled in the minors, forcing the Twins to place him in their loaded rotation. He last Major League victory was in July of 2006, also against the Indians. He missed all of last season following Tommy John Surgery.
