Rockies reliever Brian Fuentes is aware that a number of teams are interested in acquiring him and he would prefer to play for the Yankees, according to The New York Post. Tampa Bay is considered the favorite for Fuentes, but the left-hander recently spoke with Mets reliever Billy Wagner about playing in New York. "I talked to Billy a little bit," Fuentes told The Post. "He says it's a love-hate deal [playing in New York], but that's how the sport is. The fans are passionate about their team, and that's what makes New York fans great. It's fun coming in here and getting booed because they're so passionate." He then named the Yankees as his top choice. "I've never played in Yankee Stadium," Fuentes added. "I have no preference, but putting on the pinstripes New York Yankees would be something special by itself."
