Injured Boston designated hitter David Ortiz took some batting practice on Monday and looked good in the cage, according to The Boston Herald. Ortiz hasn't played since May 31 because of a torn tendon sheath, and took private indoor batting practice on Sunday at Yankee Stadium. "It feels like I?m going back to normal," Ortiz said. He won't be able to play in next Tuesday's All-Star Game, but he should have an approximate return date very soon. "After this week, when I hit on the field, I will know," he said. "That will be the last thing we do."
