The Pittsburgh Pirates have continued their offseason shake-up by firing executive vice president and general manager Neal Huntington, the team announced Monday.

The Pirates also announced the hiring of Travis Williams as the team's new president. He will replace Frank Coonelly, who was fired last week.

The Boston Red Sox on Monday announced that they have hired Tampa Bay Rays executive Chaim Bloom as their new head of baseball operations.

Bloom, whose title will be chief baseball officer, succeeds Dave Dombrowski, whom the Red Sox fired as president of baseball operations in September, less than a year after winning the 2018 World Series.

It didn't take long for former Mets manager Mickey Callaway to land his next position: He is joining new Angels skipper Joe Maddon's staff as the pitching coach, according to MLB Network insider Jon Heyman. The team has not commented.

Callaway served as pitching coach for the Indians from 2013-17, drawing particular acclaim in '16, when Cleveland won the American League pennant.

Terms were not available. The New York Post was first to report the Red Sox would hire the Rays' senior vice president of baseball operations.
