Royals, Brandon Moss Agree On Two-Year, $12M Deal

First baseman Brandon Moss has agreed to sign with the Royals, according to ESPN's Jim Bowden and multiple reports.

Yahoo! Sports first reported that it will be a two-year deal for $12 million, and ESPN has confirmed the terms. The contract agreement is pending a physical, which is scheduled for this week.

Valbuena will fill in for Albert Pujols, who is likely to miss time at the start of the season due to foot surgery.

"I feel good, because I like that team," Valbuena said. "I wanted to be here because I've got a good relationship with a couple of guys on the team."

The Oakland Athletics have signed Santiago Casilla to a two-year contract.

Casilla returns to the Athletics after spending seven seasons with the San Francisco Giants.

The A's could use Casilla as a late-inning options, including a possible role in the ninth inning.

"To be able to sign an experienced late-inning reliever who has performed in multiple World Series games makes our bullpen deeper and obviously better," Bob Melvin said. "Great sign for us."

Neftali Feliz Signs One-Year Deal With Brewers

The Milwaukee Brewers have signed Neftali Feliz to a one-year contract.

Feliz is expected to close games for the Brewers in 2017.

"We are excited to add a pitcher with Neftalί's stuff to the back end of our bullpen," David Stearns said. "Neftalί has a long pedigree of getting high-leverage outs, and we believe he has the capability to help anchor our young relief corps."

Feliz will make $5.35 million and can earn an addition $1.5 million in incentives, according to reports.

Kole Calhoun Signs Three-Year Extension With Angels

The Los Angeles Angels have agreed to a three-year, $26 million contract with Kole Calhoun.

The two sides reached an agreement on a one-year, $6.35 million deal to avoid arbitration last week, but came to terms on the longer deal to keep Calhoun under contract through 2019.

Calhoun's 2017 pay will be lowered to $6 million. He will earn $8.5 million in 2018 and $10.5 million in 2019, and the Angels have a $14 million option for 2020 with a $1 million buyout.

Royals Sign Danny Duffy To Five-Year, $65M Contract

The Kansas City Royals have signed Danny Duffy to a five-year, $65 million contract.

Duffy was eligible for arbitration and would have become a free agent after the 2017 season.

The pact ensures Duffy will remain with the Royals through 2021.

Duffy will earn $5 million this year before a bump to $14 million in 2018. He will make $15.25 million each in 2019 and 2020 and $15.5 million in the final year of the deal.

"Danny has been great. He has one of the best arms in all of baseball," Dayton Moore said earlier this offseason. "The fact that he's left-handed makes him more special and separates him even more. He's the kind of pitcher we all envision."
