Tim Tebow was named to the Eastern League All-Star roster Friday.

Tebow is an outfielder for the New York Mets' Double-A affiliate Binghamton Rumble Ponies.

Major League Baseball is concerned about a depleted Home Run Derby field and would love for Bryce Harper to participate next month.

The All-Star Game will be held in Washington, D.C.

Harper has only taken part in the event once. MLB reached out to Harper, but he has yet to commit one way or another, according to sources.

T-Mobile sponsors the event, which may help MLB's case. Harper endorses the company.
