All-Star Game Draws Record-Low TV Rating

Jul 15, 2015 4:58 PM

The American League's 6-3 win over the National League on Tuesday night earned a 6.6 rating and 12 share on Fox, a record-low television rating.

The previous low was a 6.8 in 2012.

Fox said Wednesday that the broadcast averaged 10.9 million viewers. That's down from the 11.3 million for last year's game, Derek Jeter's final All-Star appearance.

Baseball's All-Star Game remains the highest-rated all-star competition of the four major North American pro sports leagues. It was Fox's best Tuesday prime-time rating since Game 6 of the World Series.
