Jimmy Rollins made his 14th straight Opening Day start at shortstop for the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday, matching Cal Ripken's Major League record for consecutive starts at the position with the same franchise.

Rollins also hit his 200th home run Monday against the Texas Rangers.

With a grand slam in the second inning, Rollins became the 19th player in major league history with at least 400 doubles, 100 triples and 200 homers.

Darvish Looking For New Ways To Attack Trout

Nov 20, 2014 6:39 AM

Yu Darvish is looking for a better way to retire Mike Trout.

Darvish, who has pitched very well since joining the Texas Rangers, has struggled against Trout.

Trout is hitting .321 with a .441 on-base percentage and four home runs in 34 plate appearances against the Japanese right-hander.

"I only threw fastballs," Darvish said. "I didn't want to show him anything else. I think the approach toward Trout is going to be a little bit different this year."

Trout said he has always enjoyed facing Darvish, one of the best the game has to offer.

"Over the years, facing him, we've had a little rivalry going," Trout said. "It's pretty cool. He's throwing his best stuff, and I'm trying to hit his best stuff. We're having fun out there, and that's how it should be."
