Rich Hill Has Elbow Surgery, Will Miss First Half Of Season

Rich Hill had surgery on his pitching elbow, and he's likely to miss the first half of the 2020 season, according to reports.

The left-hander is a free agent.

Hill had primary revision surgery instead of undergoing Tommy John surgery.

He had a 2.45 ERA in 13 starts for the Los Angeles Dodgers this past season. Hill will be 40 in March.

Nationals shortstop Trea Turner underwent surgery on his broken right index finger on Saturday, and he shared a photo from his hospital bed on Instagram following the procedure. The 26-year-old broke the finger when he squared to bunt and was hit by a pitch from the Phillies' Zach Eflin on April 2 in Washington.
