May 27, 2018 2:12 AM

Clayton Kershaw is one step closer to a return with the Dodgers.

Kershaw pitched a four-inning simulated game Saturday, raising the possibility that he could be back in their rotation next week. The three-time NL Cy Young Award winner has been on the disabled list nearly a month with left biceps tendinitis.

Asked if he should be able to go in five days, Kershaw said: "Yeah, I should be.''

Rich Hill Doesn't 'Have Any Answers' For Blister Issues

May 20, 2018 10:48 AM

Rich Hill, who lasted just two pitches on Saturday, doesn't know how to solve issues with blisters on the middle finger of his pitching hand.

Hill was pulled in the first inning against the Washington Nationals with a recurrence of the blister problem that has already put him on the disabled list twice this season.

"It's frustrating as anything for me. To go out there and put the bullpen and team in this position," Hill said. "Unfortunately, I don't have answers at this time for the blister issue."

Hill said he felt something "break open" on his second-to-last warm-up pitch, and his fingernail was broken and bloody when he left the game.

"Just continued to pitch,'' he said. "I know at some point I'd have to come out."

Dodgers Place Clayton Kershaw On DL With Biceps Tendinitis

May 7, 2018 1:15 AM

The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed ace pitcher Clayton Kershaw on the 10-day disabled list with left biceps tendinitis.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters that the team is "cautiously optimistic" about Kershaw, who started feeling discomfort while playing catch Saturday.

"If it was more of another part of the arm, it would be more concerning, but being the biceps we are more hopeful," Roberts told reporters.

The Dodgers have the most no-hitters in the majors -- and now the most in Mexico, too.

It was the first combined no-hitter in Dodgers history, according to ESPN Stats & Info.

Corey Seager Done For Season Following Tommy John Surgery

May 1, 2018 8:52 AM

Corey Seager will undergo Tommy John surgery and miss the remainder of the 2018 season, the Los Angeles Dodgers have announced.

Seager has a sprained ulnar collateral ligament in his right arm. He will have the surgery on Friday in Los Angeles.

"It's a big blow," Dave Roberts said. "We just feel for Corey. It's something that he's had to deal with for a couple of years. The elbow finally gave way and I feel bad for him."

Roberts said Chris Taylor would move in from the outfield to become L.A.'s everyday shortstop.
