Dodgers In Trade Talks For Manny

Jul 3, 2014 3:59 AM

The Dodgers are one of a few teams showing interest in Manny Ramirez and are currently in discussions with the Red Sox, SI.com has learned. However, the talks are said to be in the very early stages, and there are numerous complications and hurdles to clear for a Dodgers' deal to get done. People familiar with the talks say it is too early to gauge the chances for a trade. Dodgers' owner Frank McCourt, a Bostonian, is believed to love the idea of adding Ramirez to bolster the Dodgers' mediocre offense.

Arizona The Frontrunner For Teixeira

Sep 27, 2014 5:50 AM

Almost immediately after the Braves decided to trade Mark Teixeira on Monday, the Diamondbacks emerged as the apparent front-runner to acquire first baseman. At least two other clubs are in the mix for Teixeira, major-league sources say, but those teams might only be backups for the Braves if their talks with the Diamondbacks fail to progress. The Dodgers and Rays also are among the clubs that have shown interest in Teixeira, and both have young players who interest the Braves.
