O's Designate Trachsel After Poor Outings
The Baltimore Orioles have designated pitcher Steve Trachsel for assignment after a host of poor bullpen outings, according to The Associated Press. Trachsel, 37, is 2-5 with an 8.39 ERA in 10 games this season, including eight starts. The Orioles signed Trachsel as a free agent in February after he spent 2007 with Baltimore and the Chicago Cubs.
