The Rangers secured the services of Ian Kinsler on Tuesday, agreeing to a five-year, $22 million contract, according to Yahoo.com.
The new deal also includes a sixth-year club option worth $10 million and a $500,000 buyout, as reported by MLB.com.
The deal keeps the second baseman under contract through his final three years of salary arbitration and his first two years of free agency.
