The Kansas City Royals have signed right-handed pitcher Zack Greinke and outfielder Mark Teahen to one-year contracts for the 2008 season. Terms of the deals were not disclosed. With the signings, all of the Royals' arbitration-eligible players are now under contract for 2008. Greinke, 24, went 7-7 with a 3.69 ERA in 52 appearances, including 14 starts, in 2007. His 2.42 ERA following the All-Star break was third-best among all Major League pitchers with a minimum of 50 innings pitched. Teahen, 26, hit .285 with 31 doubles, eight triples, seven homers, 60 RBI, and 78 runs scored in 2007. The left-handed hitter made a successful transition from third base to the outfield, equaling Jermaine Dye's franchise record with 17 outfield assists.
