The Atlanta Braves say they will not attempt to re-sign outfielder Andruw Jones, who can become a free agent after the World Series. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Braves general manager John Schuerholz told Jones at a noon meeting on Tuesday that the team would not be able to bring back the center fielder, based on initial contract demands by the player's agent, Scott Boras. The move was not unexpected as the 30-year-old Jones slumped in the final season of his $75 million contract.
