Jim Edmonds assumed when he signed a two-year extension with the Cardinals last November that he would finish his potential Hall of Fame career in St. Louis. This year has challenged that notion. Edmonds, who enjoys the right to veto any deal, said Sunday he would consider a trade if the Cardinals think it would be in the organization's best interests. "I'm just saying: If for whatever reason things change here and they want to move me, I'm not going to sit here and be stubborn about leaving," Edmonds said Sunday before the Cardinals' 6-3 loss in the series finale against the Washington Nationals. "I'm an organizational guy. I'm here for the organization. I always have been. If they wanted to do something, I'd listen."
