Jamie Moyer was claimed on waivers by the Yankees, but the 42-year-old lefty declined to come to New York, sources told The Post last night. Moyer (9-4, 4.29 ERA) was apparently placed on waivers on Friday, sources said, and the pitching-depleted Yankees claimed him. But he owns 10/5 rights with Seattle and has thrived there after a journeyman career elsewhere. During the non-waiver trade deadline, he reportedly turned down a deal to Houston. Moyer would have been eligible to pitch tomorrow night against Texas, since his last start was Saturday. The Yanks may have refused to offer a contract extension to Moyer, which may have killed the deal, a source said.
