The New York Mets have named Jose Quintana their Opening Day starter.

The Mets will begin the season on March 28 against the Milwaukee Brewers. Freddy Peralta will start Game 1 for the Brewers.

Quintana, 35, is 0-1 with a 2.08 ERA in three starts this spring. He went 3-6 with a 3.57 ERA in 13 starts last season. He missed half of the season with a stress fracture in his ribcage.
