The White Sox bolstered their bullpen Saturday by agreeing with right-hander John Brebbia on a one-year contract, a source told MLB Network insider Jon Paul Morosi. The club has not confirmed the deal.

Brebbia, 33, turned in a 3.99 ERA across 40 appearances (38 1/3 innings) with the Giants last year. However, thanks to an xwOBA of .280 -- Brebbia’s best since 2019 -- his expected ERA was only 3.33. He also registered a career-best 29.2% strikeout rate.
